,Abed Al Qader Al Husseni - MIFTAH, The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy
Born in Jerusalem on 19/19/1972, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Birzeit University (2002). From 1995 to 1999, he worked at the Regional Administration Office of Cairo- Amman Bank in the Finance and Investment Department. In 2002 he established the Faisal Husseini Foundation, a Jerusalemite organization which works in the field of developing education, in addition to preserving the Faisal Husseini heritage. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the French Hospital and Bethlehem University, and a Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yabous Cultural Center in Jerusalem.
Currently, he is the chairperson of Faisal Husseini Foundation, and the East Jerusalem Hospitals Network. He serves on the Boards of AMAN Coalition (as a chairperson), and Miftah (as treasurer) and WCLAC (as a member). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Yasser Arafat Foundation.
Mr. Husseini manages an atomic endowment for Al-Husseini family in Jerusalem and a real estate company, in addition to managing personal real estate properties and family farming lands.
Mr. Husseini participated in the talks that led to Geneva Peace Accord. Besides he is a member in the Palestinian Central Council.
